Water Sports in the Vail Valley

Kayaking

The Vail Valley boasts exceptional whitewater adventures. Class I to Class V rapids persist on the Eagle, Colorado, and Arkansas rivers. With the exception of experienced river rats, The Bunkhouse highly recommends using a professional guide service for whitewater adventures. Please consider the following guide services: Half day, full day and multi-day trips available for beginner to advanced paddlers.

Rafting

In the late spring, the mountain snow melts and runs into the Eagle and Colorado rivers, creating very good river rapids. Colorado has some of the greatest rafting in the U.S. There are many different river options, including some more intense action if that is what you’re looking for. The rafting season in Colorado continues all the way into September with several beautiful stretches to float. If you’re interested in booking a rafting adventure, call Lakota Guides 970-845-7238 (RAFT)
